We are proud that Isca Academy was judged to be meeting the expected standard across the majority of inspection areas, with safeguarding fully meeting all requirements. Inspectors recognised our ambitious leadership, inclusive culture, strong curriculum, and the positive support provided for students' wellbeing and personal development. Pupils were praised for their pride in learning, positive relationships with staff, and the wide range of opportunities available to them. The report also acknowledges the school's commitment to continuous improvement and identifies clear next steps as we strive to provide the very best education for all students.

An Ofsted inspection took place on 7 July 2026 and this is the first inspection of the school since the last inspection in 2022, where the school was graded Good in all areas.

Confirming that the school continues to be Good, the inspectors praised school staff and leaders, noting:

• Pupils are typically positive about their academic and social experiences at Isca Academy. 
• Leaders have constructed a well-sequenced, knowledge-rich curriculum that enables pupils to build on their prior knowledge. 
• Staff have strong subject knowledge and use effective questioning and discussion to deepen pupils' understanding. 
• Leaders have high expectations of all pupils, including those who face barriers to their learning. 
• Provision for pupils with SEND is strong, with support adapted as needs change so pupils can access the curriculum successfully.
• Pupils benefit from a broad personal development programme, extensive enrichment opportunities and meaningful leadership roles across the school. 
• Pupils value the caring, supportive relationships they build with staff and know that trusted adults will help them when needed. 

Safeguarding 

The inspection report found that:

• The arrangements for safeguarding are effective.
• Leaders have established an open culture in which safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.
• Concerns are actively identified, acted upon and managed, helping pupils to feel safe and be safe.
• Leaders use specialist expertise and external agencies effectively to ensure that safeguarding arrangements remain secure.
• Pupils learn how to stay safe online and benefit from strong support for their wellbeing and mental health.
• Pupils report that if they have a problem, a trusted adult will help them to resolve it.
