Isca Sports News February 2016

Isca Cross Country Success
Year 11 GCSE pupil Tom Veale, who qualified earlier in the year for the County Cross Country Championships ran an outstanding race at Stover School  finishing in the top 10 in the county in what were very wet and cold condition. These brilliant performances by Tom will be used to strengthen his GCSE practical sports assessment. Well done Tom. Other Isca runners include Year 11 Frank Trimble and year 10’s Millie Kelly.

Isca Netballers make the County and Regional Squads
A huge congratulations to Year 9’s Poppy Morgan and Stella Trimble who have both received exciting news that they been scouted to attend and represent the Devon and Exeter & Area Netball Squad. Netball has developed rapidly at Isca over the past two years with players now contributing to 6 teams across KS3. Well done girls!

The Battle goes on with this terms Inter House Sport
Throughout last week, years 7,8 and 9 all competed in either Dodgeball, Bench Ball or Fitness Challenges to gain vital points towards the Inter-House Sports Cup presented at the end of each year. It was a fantastic week of sport with every KS3 pupil taking part showing their competiveness and determination to win. Well done to all involved, results below:
