Closure Update

1st March 2018 – Update

Continued Closure of Isca Academy due to Severe Weather on 1st and 2nd March 2018
As the weather conditions we are currently experiencing are as predicted, and with a red weather warning in place from the MET Office for overnight that will make any travel to and from the school site in the morning extremely hazardous; we have taken the decision to close the school tomorrow (Friday 2nd March). The safety of staff and students is our number one priority and we do not feel that with the extreme weather we are experiencing today, that conditions will have improved by tomorrow.

We realise that it is an inconvenience to have the school closed and can only apologise. However, by letting you know now, we hope that it will give you time to make alternative arrangements.

Please continue to watch the school website and our Facebook and Twitter feed for updates. We would hope, having looked at the forecast for the weekend, that school will be open again on Monday morning.  Please assume that this is the case unless you hear otherwise.  As before, we will inform you by 7.45am at the latest on Monday morning, should the school be closed.

I would like to thank you all for your understanding. Decisions to close the school are never taken lightly.

Yours sincerely,

Miss Aimee Mitchell
Headteacher
