Centenary Walk

Centenary Walk - Friday 9th November 2018

To commemorate the centenary of the end of World War One, Isca Academy will be retracing the steps of 100 young men who left their Devon homes to make a sacrifice for their country one hundred years ago.
Walking 10 miles from Exmouth to Exeter, Year 7 students from Isca Academy will mark the journey taken by young men from the training camps of East Devon, to their departure to France.

We will carry with us the names and stories of 100 local heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice and never came home again.
Taking part in this activity is free for our Year 7 students.
Students should be prepared to spend the day walking, leaving school by bus at 8am, and returning at 3pm.
All participants are required to raise a minimum of £5 in sponsorship which will go the British Legion Poppy Appeal.

Pick up a letter from reception (or download below) if you want to take part.
Return by 31 October.
