19th March Snow Closure

18th March 2018

Dear Parents / Carers,

Closure of Isca Academy due to Adverse Weather on  Monday 19th March 2018
As you will be aware, Exeter and the surrounding region have experienced another bout of extreme weather conditions, which is forecast to continue until early tomorrow morning. The city’s five main secondary schools have taken advice and made the decision to be closed tomorrow for the safety of the students and staff. Conscious of the significant impact school closures have on young people and their families, this decision has not been taken lightly.

We realise that it is an inconvenience when the school is closed and can only apologise for this. However, by letting you know now, we hope that it will give you time to make the necessary arrangements.

We anticipate being open as normal on Tuesday morning.

If you are not yet signed up to receive text messages from the school, and would like to access this service in future, please the school office. Please also let us know if your contact details have changed.
If you would like to read our Severe Weather Procedures, these are available on our school website.
I would like to thank you all for your understanding. Decisions to close the school are never taken lightly. However, these may sometimes be necessary for the safety and wellbeing of the school community.

Yours sincerely,

Miss Aimee Mitchell
Headteacher
