Rewards and Behaviour
At Isca we have a range of rewards that our staff use to give positive feedback and reinforce effort, quality work, citizenship, creativity, independence, resilience, self-awareness, consistently good behavior, extra-curricular and high attendance. Rewards used such as departmental stickers and House Points are recorded and students with the most are offered termly trips / experiences. We also use subject praise postcards which are sent home to celebrate academic achievement.
Our behaviour system is set up to ensure students get the maximum learning time possible within their school day and therefore behaviour that prevents themselves and others from learning and reaching their full potential, is not acceptable. Isca uses a warning system thats allows students to correct their behaviour. If the warnings are not heeded, the student will be expected to work in isolation and relect on their actions. This may lead to a Leadership detention or further sanctions if necessary.
